Information for Virtual Board Meetings

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Governor Newsom issued Executive Order N-29-20, which temporarily suspends provisions of the Brown Act relating to public meetings. As such, Portola Valley School District Board members will be conducting their meetings using Google Meet. The link to the meetings and meeting agendas will be provided by clicking on the meeting date HERE.

The PVSD uses BoardDocs which allows the District to maximize the effectiveness of its Board meetings, and public access to meeting Minutes, Agendas, and Policies in an effort to increase transparency and provide easier access to information. This Board Docs link will lead to immediate access of all Board related information.

COVID-19 Testing for Students and Families

PVSD recommends, but does not require, testing for students attending in-person school and their families every two weeks. Third party testing resources are listed below as a courtesy. PVSD does not provide testing and we cannot guarantee access to testing or answer questions about services provided by third parties.

Curative provides free testing for San Mateo County children over 5 as well as adults.

Parents!  Become a Substitute and Help Us Support and Bring Back Our Students

The PVSD is reaching out to our students’ parents and families to apply to become substitute teachers to work in a supervisory capacity with groups of students for learning support.

Some students have unfortunately struggled with internet connectivity during distance learning, so the District has arranged for small student cohorts to safely return to schools in order to access their online classes. Each school needs 2-4 substitute teachers to supervise these students.
