Bring Your Own Device

Bring Your Own Device - BYOD

What is a Bring Your Own Device Program?

Bring your own device, or BYOD, is a program that allows students, with signed parental permission, to bring personally owned computing devices to school they are comfortable using at home, join PVSD’s secure wireless network, and complete school work. This will replace existing devices that are provided to students allowing PVSD to provide more devices to student who may not have individual access at home. The purpose is to provide a scalable and sustainable 21st century learning environment that enables teachers to increase personalized instruction and leverage the tools that students are becoming proficient with. PVSD’s goal is to utilize technology to improve student learning, not simply for technology’s sake. Students electing to participate will be expected to bring their own devices until the end of school year.

If you and your student are interested please complete the BYOD Agreement below.

Some of the points here are intentionally repeated from the Responsible Use of Technology Agreement. Please email jborgen@pvsd.net if you have any questions about the program.
