Citizens' Bond Oversight Committee

"The purpose of the citizens' oversight committee shall be to inform the public concerning the expenditure of bond revenues. The citizens' oversight committee shall actively review and report on the proper expenditure of taxpayers' money for school construction." California Education Code § 15278(b)

On November 6, 2018, the voters of the Portola Valley School District (PVSD) approved Measure Z. It provided authorization for $49.50 million in school facilities construction and modernization funding for improvement of school facilities.

California law requires that an independent Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee (CBOC) be appointed to inform the public concerning the expenditures and use of the bond revenue and to verify that the bond funds are expended as required by law. Our seven-member Bond CBOC will perform this function, meetings, reviewing program progress and financial and performance audits, and producing the required Annual Report on the program.
