PVSD AI Task Force
We're excited to announce the formation of an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Task Force, a diverse group of educators, staff, parents, and students with the crucial mission of developing ethical and effective guidelines for AI use in our school district. Join us in this groundbreaking effort! By dedicating a few hours of your time to the AI Task Force, you can play a vital role in shaping the future of education for generations to come.
In addition to seeking members for the taskforce, we are also creating a list of subject matter experts who would be willing to share their knowledge with our group. If you have experience in this field and are interested in being a guest speaker at a future meeting, please let us know in the form. This is a great way to contribute without the full commitment of membership.
Why is this important? AI is evolving rapidly, and its potential to transform education is vast. But with such power comes responsibility. We need to ensure that AI is used ethically, fairly, and in a way that aligns with our school's values and priorities. Your voice will be instrumental in setting the framework for responsible AI implementation, one that benefits all members of our community.
Objectives of the AI Task Force:
- Provide input into PVSD AI guidelines .
- Review board policies with AI implications.
- Discuss benefits and challenges of AI.
- Define common uses of AI in our school community.

All meetings 4 - 6 PM in-person at the PVSD District Office Annex (4575 Alpine Road, Portola Valley, CA)
